Last week, I had the opportunity to represent the Navy League of the United States at a historic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing with the Republic of Korea Seapower League. My counterpart, ADM Choi Yoon-hee, Former ROK CNO and Chairman of their Joint Chiefs of Staff, and I signed the MOU at a formal ceremony at Seapower Headquarters in Seoul. I then had the honor of being the keynote speaker at the Korean Sea Power Symposium in the ROK Parliament building. South Korea and the United States are the strongest of allies and it was a true privilege to speak about the incredible alliance between our two countries, forged in the crucible of war over 70 years ago!
